班主任对于一个班级来说就相当于一个人的心脏，扶着则一个班级的领导和管理。表面上看起来，班主任的工作非常的繁琐而且很平淡，每天处理的或许都是一些鸡毛蒜皮的小事，但这看似平凡的工作却对学校、学生有着非常重要的意义，那么以为优秀的班主任应该具有哪些素质呢？

一、多思考，多动脑，大胆创新
对于日常工作要多多思考，尤其是对于班级的管理，对于一个社会来说，需要很多人的共同协作来得到最终的目的，在这个过程中每个人都有自己要扮演的角色，但并不是每个人都能很好的扮演，需要有管理者进行协调。同样的，对于一个班级来说，班主任就扮演者这样一个角色。由于学生的年龄较小，社会经验还不是很足，同时他们的心里发育不是很健全，对于这样一群学生如何进行协调，如何合作，如何参与到班级生活的方方面面都有很大的挑战，这就对班主任提出了更高的要求。
工作中，班主任应该更加注重总结，一方面是帮学生总结：平时细心观察学生，及时发现学生存在的相关问题，阶段性的进行总结整理，通过主题班会的形式进行传达；另外一方面是自我总结：根据学生反映出来的问题进行自我检讨，反思自己工作中的得失，对自己平时做事不恰当的地方进行纠正，力争自己处事方式更加趋于成熟，给学生起到较好的引领作用。

二、心思细腻，注重观察明
班主任的工作性质注定了必须需要足够的耐心和细心，工作中对于学生的言行要时刻留心，对于不同的学生要采取不同错策略。对于初中生来说，他们的心里活动旺旺会流露于表面，只要班主任留心观察，一定会发现学生潜在的一些问题，争取在问题还没有完全显现的时候就把他解决掉。

三、注意语言技巧，学会尊重学生
学生正处于心里敏感的年龄，班主任在与学生对话的过程中应该注意自己的言辞，说话要把我好分寸，用尽量委婉的方式去教育学生，师生时间的交流应该是建立在平等的基础上的，切记不可因为一时愤怒说出有辱学生尊严的话语，并且要根据不同的学生区别对待，有的学生心理素质强一些，在教育上可以适当的严厉一些方能起到作用，有的学生心理承受能力较弱，老师在批评教育的过程中应该掌握好技巧，把握好“度”，必要的时候做好引导，让学生解释清楚，不要冤枉学生，允许他们承认错误，改正错误。

四、身体力行，以身示范
俗话说“身正为师，德高为范”，一个好的老师不仅仅是把知识传授给学生，更重要的是品德的教育和人格的塑造，而这教育有着诸多的方式，期中最直接也最有效的就是身体力行，以身示范，一个好的班主任能够用自己好的品格来影响整个班级，对于学生的人格的塑造有这非常重要的作用，甚至能影响学生的一生。
同样的，一个不合格的班主任也会把自己不好的一面展现在学生的面前，使得学生失去对老师的一种崇拜和尊重，更有甚者，学生会认为老师做的都是对的，跟着模仿，这样讲学生引入歧途。
21世纪的学校教育给我们班主任提出了更高的要求,在工作中努力探索班,寻找一条正确的道路已经成为所有所有班主任肩负的光荣任务。
